Kari Granger
Founder & CEO
Our team here at The Granger Network recently completed our January strategy meetings. Like many of our clients, 2020 forced us enabled us to pivot into an exciting new era for our company. We’ve never felt more poised to make a difference for the individuals and organizations that we serve.
You, reader, are a key stakeholder of ours. As such, we want to inform you of these developments and invite you to partner with us in the year ahead.
- Expanding Our Leadership Frameworks
Navigating competing interests within a complex system inside of an uncertain future (and a kid on your lap)? Well, that’s kind of an everyday phenomenon these days! This year we are expanding our foundational frameworks to include development in areas such as embracing uncertainty, leading in complex environments, steering through stakeholder tensions, systems thinking, resilience, well-being, and finding relevance through accelerated economic and social change. Of course, this looks quite different depending on the context, whether you’re a mid-size family-owned business, a startup with VC funding, or an enterprise leader with several business lines. Leave it to us, that’s what we work on! - Shoring Up Our Bench to Meet Your Demands
So many organizations are focused on merely surviving the whirlwind of 2020. The companies that have thrived were somehow able to notice the trends, devise a big-picture strategic pivot, and implement that strategy–despite the disruption around them. For many of our clients, doing so would have been impossible without partnership. We’ve expanded our team in 2021 to include additional expertise in navigating “what now,” “where should we go,” and “how to get there.” Would a trusted advisor make the difference for you this year? Contact us to learn more. - Hello, Virtual Reality!
Virtual delivery has been in our wheelhouse for a while, even before the pandemic. But with remote work becoming increasingly embraced for the long-term, we are leveraging technology in new ways — including Virtual Reality (VR). By the end of the year, we will deliver at least one program through VR to explore the value of being in the room with your colleagues and our facilitators, from the safety of your own home. We are looking for the right client partner to pilot this with in 2021. Curious? Contact us!
- Accelerating the Learning Curve
2020 accelerated the stakeholder capitalism movement. Increasingly, society is looking to businesses to ensure all stakeholders thrive even as economic profits rise. Many business leaders found themselves being called upon to take moral and political stances this year. This is a new era of the business leader and we want to support you. We’re launching a small cohort / think-tank of C-level executives and board members (five teams of four) to accelerate this learning curve and implement a new kind of leadership with and as organizations. Interested in having your executive team participate in our Accelerator this year? Learn more. - Getting to the Heart of the Matter
The world that we live and operate in today is vastly different from ever before. Business realities and industry trends have shifted dramatically. To ensure our leadership solutions are current and relevant, we are going to the source, interviewing 100 executives about the disruption they’ve faced recently and what they see is necessary for meeting the current moment moving forward. We will be tracking trends (anonymously) and publishing our findings in a white paper. Are you a C-level executive or board member who’d like to bend a coach’s ear about how to thrive in the coming months and years? Contact us to see if you qualify for a free interview.
- Creating a Community on LinkedIn
I’ve been using LinkedIn a lot in the last few months. It’s a wonderful platform, a place to share candid stories, though-provoking articles, and short reflections about business and leadership. And the ability to dialogue with folks in the comments has been priceless for me. I’m going to be posting on LinkedIn a lot more this year, and I’d love to connect with you there. Follow me on LinkedIn for more: Kari Granger LinkedIn Profile.
- Where to Get the Goods
We’ll be emailing you less frequently in 2021 (once or twice per month). But that’s because we’re generating a lot more content in new places this year, including LinkedIn (see #6 above) and on Training Industry–a platform for professional development resources. On the Training Industry site, we’ll be publishing articles, doing demonstrations of our work, and giving leader talks on the issues of the day. In our emails, we’ll be sure to share links to those opportunities.
We’d love to hear what you are up to this year! What’s new for you in 2021?
Thank you for partnering with us this year in creating organizational cultures that evolve to solve the timely, relevant issues of the day. Together, we make a real impact.
