Building a Culture of Trust
Culture either catalyzes innovation, collaboration and performance, or it kills it. We often think of culture as an explanation for why things are the way they are, “it’s because of the culture...” but most companies are bewildered at how to truly build it.
"Who is responsible for this culture anyway? How can I shift a culture I inherited? How can we build trust when trust is lost or betrayal happens? Is trust chosen or earned?"
Over the last 15 years of working with executives, teams and organizations, we have learned culture can make or break professionals in performance metrics, retention, recruiting, productivity and efficiency, job satisfaction, strategic planning and execution, and more. When we create a culture of trust, new worlds open up. Trust grants freedom – freedom of collaboration,
freedom of ideas, freedom to take action, and freedom of expression. Yet, when it comes to trust, even the most articulate amongst us can resort to clichés and niceties, “Trust is important,” or “We should trust each other,” or “It’s a matter of trust.”In this course, we look at what it takes to build trust rather than simply assert its importance.
Participants will learn how to:
- Demystify what it takes to build and sustain trust
- Identify and productively discuss matters concerning a lack of trust
- Shift moods and assessments that block trust
- Shape local organizational and team culture
- Increase job fulfillment and performance while retaining top talent
